In Buffalo,NY there are several food establishments that are known for being “Buffalo staples”. Occasionally this creates huge debates within the community. Does Anchor Bar have the best wings in Buffalo? Hell no, but that’s just me. Clearly to me, Duff’s is the obvious choice, but everyone could say the same thing for the pizza/wing place that’s right down the street.
The samecould be said for Charlie the Butcher, Scwabels, Just Pizza, Mighty Taco and any other “Buffalo” famous restaurant.
Chef’s is probably the most popular Italain restaurant, and the debate of its superiority is ongoing. For me, I never even touched Chef’s until I started dating Alli. The first thing I noticed was the sauce, I love it. I am all about a non-chunky sweet sauce, and Chef’s has that down perfect. But this post is to show case how they have the most universally accepted “great dish”, their Spaghetti Parm. Fan-freaking-tastic.
I still have yet to be able to finish this meal in 1 sitting, I tend to focus on the chicken parm and completely forget about the spaghetti.
If you are a Buffalo-ian and have still yet to try Chef’s (especially before a hockey game, hell I sat next to Marcel Dionne Friday) then you need to get on top of that pronto. Awesome food, usually a quick seating.
Yea it can get cramped, but the bib you get to wear is well worth it.
