Buffalo is known for Italian restaurants, either authentic or Olive Garden Style. One that is kinda in the middle is Tina’s Italian Kitchen. Its located in the village of Hamburg and is one of the places I never went to until I started dating Alli, and since have gone at least 20 times.
It’s a small place location, but a great location for a date or just a quiet meal. There’s no loud music, no bar, and a very family “feel” for the place. Normally I only order the sausage with onions and peppers but this time I tried out something new:
Shrimp simmered in marianara sauce, placed over a bed of linguine
Nothing too ground breaking but it was really tasty, and the serving size they give are huge and I could barely finish 1/2 of it. If you like Olive Garden style food but also some authentic Italian mixed in, and you like Italian music and you want to support the local economy, well then go to Tina’s. It’s pretty good overall (Alli edit: the fried mozz pillows are the best in WNY) and if you want they even have pizza and wings (but I would go to Nino’s down the street for that).
