There’s really nothing extra I can say about Red Pepper that wasn’t said by our author Chris in his post about the restaurant. It’s a nice inside, a little more casual then our previous Vietnamese visits (Saigon Cafe & Saigon Bangkok) but the food was good. The prices were about right, and for $6 for [...]

To make the grand total of “restaurant week” visits to 3, Mike and I visited Panaro’s on Friday afternoon. A cute tiny italian place located right on Delaware, near Allen. This is a restaurant that cater’s to the business group going on lunch, however they are known for their custom desserts as well. For lunch [...]

I normally wouldn’t be allowed to eat in a place like this (for example: Jim Kelly was at the bar when we arrived)….If it wasn’t for restaurant week I probably wouldn’t have gone here unless it was paid for by a company or someone that lives in a tax bracket that’s two or more levels above [...]

This week is WNY Local Restaurant Week and Donnie and I have already begun to take advantage of the killer deals available. While there are many many great restaurants on the list, we decided to go for the places that we normally would not be able to afford (at least not on a regular basis). [...]

I’ve wrote about this place countless times, but this was the first time I’ve gone and had the experience of their Seafood Chowder. It’s one of their “must have” menu items. Along with their chicken wings (Smitty Style) and their French Fries, and their $1.50 pints of Yuengling.

I’ve driven by Buffalo Street Grill plenty of times… Just passing by I always assumed that it was another bar/restaurant…some place that had wings, fingers, and typical pub style foods. I was way off. This place actually had a really nice menu and great food. Using one of the coupons that we bought (a $10 [...]

Friday I went out to lunch with the regulars from work and they decided to go to Gabriel’s Gate. While it has a pretty cool location in a 100+ year old building in Allentown, and their food is good…in my opinion, nothing on their menu is outstanding. Yes, they do have pretty diverse options that [...]

Usually I am the ‘behind the scenes’ editor/food eater on this blog. I tend to accompany Donnie on his trips to various restaurants then edit his posts after the fact. But today I happened to go to a new place to eat with my UB friend, Todd. After a presentation we had to do at the [...]

For my first venture into the “food porn” series, I had to review my favorite restaurant in the entire WNY area, The Red Pepper. This Vietnamese/Chinese hybrid can be found on Maple road in Amherst right between UB and Niagara Falls Boulevard. I frequent The Red Pepper every Saturday for lunch, and 90% of the [...]
