For lunch today, my friend Matt and I decided to try a different location. Except, this was a new location but it wasn’t at the same time.
At work we order from Just Pizza (the Elmwood location) almost monthly. Since I started, it seemed we have ordered at least 1 Friday every month (the usual is: Sesame Crust with Mushroom, Chicken Sausage, and normal Cheese and Pepperoni). But I haven’t had a sit down meal there since I “lived” at Canisius, and that was over 2 years ago.
When we got there, I had in mind eating a sub or getting some Chicken Fingers. But I was surprised at the amount of single slices they have available when you walk in, but more importantly the variety. I ended up with these two:
I tried their Veggie Pizza, which had onions, peppers, olives that dominated the flavor of the pizza (but in a good way). The actual pizza was a little thicker (not Chicago thick), then “normal” Buffalo pizza.

I also tried their Buffalo Chicken pizza which was lack luster. It was ok, but I’ve had better. Essentially it was a pizza covered in hot sauce and some blue cheese and fried chicken bits.

It was a solid, but nothing outstanding. I’m always told that Just Pizza has the best pizza in the Buffalo area but I refuse to believe it. Also, their pizza at HSBC Arena blows.

Oh man I miss just pizza but La Nova’s is way better!
The pizza at the HSBC Arena was just awesome.
You don’t know what you’re talking about.
