UPDATE: Since writing this article, Manhattan Pizza has since closed.
I’ve been working at my job downtown now for almost 9 months, and the number of places that I can go to on a lunch break and have it be a new experience is becoming harder to accomplish. Not too long ago a new pizzeria opened in downtown Buffalo, Manhattan Pizza and Pasta (right off of the Chippewa strip on Delaware), giving the club going/drinking crowd another option to a 3am meal.
Now I went during lunch hours on a random Friday, so the crowd was different then you would expect post-midnight on a weekend. They apparently have some great pasta options and there pizzettes are reportedly delicious, however, I didn’t have the time to try those options and instead I ordered from their pizza’s that were available behind the glass.

Chicken, Broccoli, Cheddar Pizza

Hot Peppers and Cheese Pizza
I ended up trying the slices shown above, and for a new pizza place it was pretty good. (Alli edit: Zetti’s is still the best for ny style pizza). The slices I had were very flavorful, the crust was crispy and not in the least bit flimsy (how I enjoy it). For being precooked and then warmed up again, they still had a fresh taste. There was a good crowd for lunch but the line was moving quickly and that day they had over 10 different styles available, which I appreciated because who just wants cheese and pepperoni? The eating area is surprisingly large, they have a large seating area with a nice flat panel TV mounted on the wall.
As someone who frequents downtown/allentown late at night, and gets incredibly hungry while intoxicated, I am always for having another option for those late night cravings. This pizza place seems to be a great addition to the downtown area and late night scene.

basically the food porn posts from bizzle bros to get its own blog was a direct result from your new job being close to all these places
also, those slices look like a mini-version of zetti’s (alli, any taste comparisons?)
“Alli and I sat and ate and watched CNN.” lol
there’s a video here on it http://www.wgrz.com/news/daybreak/story.aspx?storyid=58158&catid=111
