If you’re into the Buffalo Hip Hop scene (and you should be) then you’ve heard of DJ Noodles. While he lived in Buffalo you may have heard him spinning on 93.7 WBLK, saw him working at different clubs, or listened to his various mix tapes.
If you haven’t heard of him, don’t worry, you will soon. DJ Noodles has been producing tracks for some of the world’s largest Hip Hop Acts, such as: Trazz, Lil Wayne, Pitbull, Akon, 50 Cent, Cam’Ron, Faith Evans, Jadakiss, Ace Hood, Freeway, The Young Gunz, Colby O’Donis, Fatman Scoop, Red Café, Murphy Lee…just to name a few….
He’s recently moved to Tampa Bay, FL and is working for Wild 94.1 and has his own radio show on Sirius/XM Radio on the Hip Hop Nation station. Noodles took some time out of his hectic schedule to talk about his favorite restaurants and some of the Buffalo food he grew up on:
Where is your favorite place to eat in Buffalo?
Noodles: Favorite restaurant has got to be Chef’s, whenever I’m back in the town I have to make a trip there to get their signature Spaghetti Parm, and of course you can’t forget about the Anchor Bar.
What food/cuisine did you grow up on?
Noodles: I’m Italian, so at home I definitely grew up on Italian food, but when I was in high school Mighty Taco, Just Pizza, and Jim’s Steakout were traditions!
Where do you take people from out of town to show them some “Buffalo cuisine”?
Noodles: They need to get a Chicken Finger sub from Jim’s for lunch, then hit Anchor Bar for dinner so they can get those true authentic wings, and then around 1am, its a perfect time to hit up Mighty Taco.
What is your favorite area of Buffalo?
Noodles: Buffalo has so many different area’s that offer their own flavor, a lot of great places to eat and see in North Buffalo, but the best all around has to be the parking lot at The Ralph before a Bills game, my favorite place!
