To continue with our Buffalo Foodies from WKBW Channel 7 News, we are pleased to announce our newest Foodie Aaron Mentkowski. Aaron is WKBW’s Meteorologist and can be seen on the 5, 5:30, 6 and 11 pm Eyewitness News reports. Aaron, a WNY native, has been working with WKBW Channel 7 since 2000. He’s worked in both Georgia and Florida before he returned back to his hometown.
We got a hold of Aaron on Facebook and were able to send him some questions about his favorite places to eat in Buffalo. Here’s what he had to say….
Where are some of your favorite places to eat in Buffalo?
Aaron: I’ll take my dinner break and head to Chefs or Salsaritas in Downtown Buffalo. I know it’s a chain but my wife and I enjoy Carrabbas.
Where do you like to grab a drink and hang out on the weekends?
Aaron: For hanging out with friends getting wings & pizza & beer I love going to the Amherst Pizza and Ale House in Amherst and Klimeks in North Tonawanda.
For friends visiting from out of town, where do you take them for a good time in Buffalo?
Aaron: I take friends to the Ale House, I love the Stinger Sub (steak and cheese and chicken finger). Last Sabres game I watched at Klimeks. Great tvs, great food and great prices. A gem on Oliver Street.
Is there any cuisine or restaurants you wish Buffalo had more of?
Aaron: Buffalo seems to have just about everything I like. I can get great Polish food, I pick up cheesecake from EM Chrusciki. I just went to Jasmine Thai. I think if Buffalo has one thing it’s great FOOD!!!
