The first annual Beer, Bacon, Boobs festival was held at Island Park in Williamsville. Attendees purchased tickets to sample several breweries, eat bacon themed foods and most importantly raise money for the Breast Cancer Network of Western New York. I was fortunate enough to be asked to be “Bacon Judge”, which was a dream come true. I sampled some delicious bacon inspired dishes from restaurants/shops like Fat Bob’s Smokehouse, Lake Effect Ice Cream, Pizza Plant, Swirls and more. It was a really fun event and luckily the weather cleared up for the festival so that everyone stayed dry. I’m looking forward to seeing this festival continue to evolve and I hope that next year one of the restaurants will serve just straight up bacon (possibly from T-Meadow Farms, fingers crossed).
