Christa Glennie Seychew (who brings you events like Nickel City Chef and Foodie to Farm Tours) is starting a new culinary competition this fall called Nickel City Firing Line. The event will resemble the popular Food Network show “Chopped” with some changes for a live audience and will have two parts. For the first portion of the competition, the challenger will present a dish to the judges/audience that best represents themselves. During the second part of the competition, the contestants will use a market basket to prepare four entrees in 45 minutes for the judges/audience. Like Nickel City Chef, these events will be taking place at the gorgeous Artisans Kitchens and Baths on Amherst Street.
Are you a chef/cook and interested in participating in the competition? Then fill out one of these applications by October 1st! You could find yourself on stage, showing off your skills in front of a live audience.
Want to attend some of these competitions? Tickets go on sale on October 5th (we’ll post the link) and the events take place on November 7th, November 14th and December 2nd.
