You can now find the new City Dining Cards ($20 per pack) at various Buffalo retail locations (find your closest store here). For those of you who aren’t familiar, the deck has 50 $10 Discount Cards for locally owned restaurants all over Western New York. The stack this year contains several of our favorite restaurants (Carmelo’s, Liberty Hound, Marcos) while also offering discount cards for some of Buffalo’s newest restaurants (Coco, Ebenezer Ale House, Statler’s Lobby Bar).
The City Cocktail Cards are also in store and instead of working the same way as the Dining Cards, the cards in this year’s deck offer a free drink with the purchase of another drink (max value at $10). The bars range from night clubs (Encore, Snooty Fox, Noir) to dive bars (Rohall’s, Essex St) to wine bars (Just Vino, Pairings). We are working with the fine folks at City Dining Cards to use their cards to try more restaurants for 2013 and plan on using their cocktail cards to write new Bar Hopping posts.
So grab a couple decks for the holidays! They make great gifts and once you’ve used two cards the pack has already been paid for!
