When we first started Buffalo Eats, both Yelp and Urbanspoon were still growing their online presence in the area. One of the biggest tools we used in deciding what restaurants we needed to try first was Bill Rapaport’s Buffalo Restaurant Guide. The look of the website hasn’t changed since it made it’s debut online, but the simplicity of the layout has made the site very accessible and allowed Bill to add thousands of user-submitted reviews over the years. Being big fans of the site, we invited Bill to the studio to talk about how the guide got started (in 1988!), his process of receiving and approving submissions and the future of the site.
